This week we honor Haitian Heritage Month with a Thank a Teacher teacher winner who is proud of being Haitian and who comes from a family of teachers. Westward Elementary’s Baker Joseph uses art to inspire his students to be the best they can be.

Officer Wilburn, who works at Westward Elementary, remembers her School Police officer from her years at Roosevelt Middle School. He inspired her to become an officer and recently surprised him as one of his newest colleagues in uniform.
